We are approved providers for the Jon Peterson Scholarship!
What is the Jon Peterson Scholarship?
The Jon Peterson Scholarship is available through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). The scholarship provides scholarship funds (up for $17,000/year) for students who qualify for Special Education Services (have an active IEP), but are not enrolled in public school.
How it works
First you submit a simple application and a copy of your child’s ETR and IEP and submit it to ODE. In most cases your application will be approved in as little as two weeks. Then once you are approved, you will be notified of your scholarship amounts. The scholarship period runs from July 1st – June 30th every year, and your scholarship is prorated based on the application date. After you receive approval, your child can begin receiving services that are billed directly to the department of education. Finally, as a scholarship parent you can choose any providers that is approved by ODE and provides the services on your child’s IEP.
The MINDscapes Way
At MINDscapes we will collect some basic information from you and submit the application to ODE for you. Then, once your child is approved for the scholarship, we will contact you and create an education and service plan based entirely around their IEP. We have providers to fit the needs of every IEP and we offer a combination of in-person and teletherapy appointments.
Complete the form below to start the application process and find out if your child qualifies for services at no cost.
